Questions people ask
Is Plantulus free?
Yes. Checking a leaf is free and needs no account or sign-up. The AI-written care suggestions are currently unlocked with a daily password, and every condition guide on this site is open to everyone.
Which plants can it check?
19 plants and 37 diseases, pests and growing problems. Houseplants: aloe, cactus, money plant, snake plant and spider plant. Garden plants and crops: apple, bell pepper, blueberry, cherry, corn (maize), grape, orange, peach, potato, raspberry, soybean, squash, strawberry and tomato. Plantulus always picks the closest match from this list, so results for other plants are not reliable.
How accurate is it?
About 92% on indoor plant photos and 98% on 16,697 held-out test images. Treat each result as a guide, not a diagnosis, and check the confidence score: if it is low, try a clearer photo.
Do you keep my photo?
No. Your photo is analysed in memory and not stored, unless you choose to share it with your feedback to help improve the model. Plantulus does not use cookies or ask who you are.
How do I take a good photo?
Photograph one leaf in daylight, filling most of the frame, against a plain background. Make sure the affected area is in focus and avoid strong shadows or flash glare.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Plantulus works in any modern phone browser, can use your camera directly and can be installed like an app on your home screen.
