Fungal disease
Tomato Leaf Mold
A fungal disease of tomatoes grown in humid conditions, especially greenhouses, with mould under the leaves.

Symptoms
- Pale yellow spots on the upper side of leaves
- Olive-green to brown, velvety mould on the underside
- Leaves curling, withering and dropping
What causes it
The fungus needs very humid air and spreads in poorly ventilated greenhouses and tunnels.
What you can do
- Ventilate well and reduce humidity, especially at night.
- Space and prune plants so air can move between them.
- Remove badly affected leaves with clean scissors and bin them rather than composting.
- Choose resistant varieties for greenhouse growing.
