Tomato Spider Mites
Also known as Two-spotted spider mite
Tiny sap-sucking mites that speckle tomato leaves, often with fine webbing, in hot and dry conditions.

Symptoms
- Fine pale speckling on the leaves
- Leaves turning bronze or yellow and drying out
- Fine webbing and tiny moving dots on the underside of leaves
What causes it
Spider mites multiply fast in hot, dry conditions, especially in greenhouses and on stressed plants.
What you can do
- Spray the underside of leaves with water to knock mites off.
- Raise humidity around greenhouse plants.
- Insecticidal soap or horticultural oil can help; follow the label.
- Remove heavily infested leaves and check plants weekly.
